Education begins the gentleman, but reading, good company, and reflection must finish him. John Locke.
This is was reflective journal for my year of following the GTP or Graduate Teacher Programme. The intention was to reflect privately on my progress as a teacher but my years journalling have taught me that I get the most out of reflection by doing it in public! That way I can make use of other people's insights. Having completed my course, I'm now about to start on my NQT year teaching children in years 5 and 6 but I see no reason why this journal shouldn't be just as useful then as now!
Of course, not everything can be made public for reasons of other people's privacy. There will be the odd locked entry on this journal but I tend to try to avoid them. I've also tried to avoid identifying the schools that I've worked at or individuals except by their initials. If you notice I've made any mistakes, please let me know!
