I got a job!
May. 22nd, 2009 05:44 pmI got a job! I got a job! Ahem. I just like to repeat that a few times :) I am so over the moon about it! This week was the week of interviews. I went for one in a very small school for year 3/4 which would have been quite interesting but a bit of a risk because there's a lot of quite disruptive changes happening at a school with a history of being very high performing so I suspect there will be trouble with parents ahead. So that was on Monday.
I had one on Friday for a large school quite like the one I'm in now but about half an hour away from home - they seemed really keen, the head kept checking I was still coming and hadn't been snapped up!
Then finally, I got offered another interview on Thursday with a place much closer to me where my current head knew the headteacher. I didn't actually expect to get that one as I hadn't been able to visit the school as the last week had been so chaotic. So I went, the school seemed really nice, they were really interested in me and actually asked me interesting and relevant questions, rather than having a script, I got on really well with everyone and they phoned me back at 3:20 to say would I like the job! I went around the whole rest of the evening (which was the ArtWeeks open evening) in a happy daze.
Oh and inbetween all these interviews, my tutor came to check up on me! I am totally ready for half term now, I can tell you :)
